An "immature" man from Swanscombe, convicted of grooming a young girl for sex, will be sentenced next month.
Peter Spence, aged 23, of Southfleet Road was convicted of meeting a child following sexual grooming or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity at Maidstone Crown Court on August 5.
He had denied contacting his 13-year-old victim and meeting up with her on several occasions.
Appearing for sentence on September 5 at Maidstone, defence lawyer Edmond Fowler asked for the case to adjourned as Spence wished to amend his version of events - previously been branded as "ridiculous" by a judge.
Recorder David Jeremy agreed to adjourn the case saying: "You are a very immature man.
"You are a vain and narcissistic young man who did not have the moral compass to deal with the attention of young girls in the proper way."
Spence will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on October 10.
