Four Gravesend residents, including a 13-year-old, have been charged as north Kent detectives continue to crackdown on burglary and theft.

Gerrard Francis John McKenna, aged 30, of Mackenzie Way, Gravesend, was charged on March 31 with handling stolen goods in Gravesend between December 1 and December 31 in relation to two drum kits and a number of microphones and amplifiers.

Mckenna has been bailed to appear at court on May 15.

Lee Gulston, aged 25, of Albion Road, Gravesend, was charged on March 27 with burgling a property in Albion Road, Gravesend, on March 26. He appeared in court in relation to this matter on March 28.

A 13-year-old from Gravesend was charged with the same offence and was bailed to appear at court on May 13. A 14-year-old from Gravesend was cautioned for the same offence.

Khalis Balogun, aged 22, of Medhurst Gardens, Gravesend, was charged with burgling a property in Valley Drive, Gravesend on March 21; theft of a pedal bicycle in Gravesend on March 21 and burgling a property in The Parade, Valley Drive, Gravesend.

Balogun is due at Maidstone Crown Court on March 11.

Detective Chief Inspector Ann Lisseman of the north Kent burglary team said: "Teams across the north of the county are continuing to focus on catching suspected burglars and thieves. We recognise how distressing it is to be a victim of burglary and are doing all we can to combat this crime."
