A Gravesend teenager won a helicopter ride and a tour of a racetrack as part of an engineering scheme.
Raman Virk, 16, learned about how the cars in Silverstone racetrack, Northamptonshire, are manufactured and engineered as part of a special tour on March 29.
The Mayfair Grammar Schoolgirl and her sister, Sharan, 17, also did a few laps around the Silverstone track with an instructor.
Later that day the pair took a helicopter ride and enjoyed panoramic views of the countryside.
Raman said: "It’s been such a great day.
"I’ve learned about engineering through driving and flying around Silverstone, and being able to meet the engineering apprentice at the racetrack has really inspired me.
"I’ve learned about all the routes into the industry through today and I’m really eager to learn more."
Raman won the prize by completing a quiz on the Tomorrow's Engineers Facebook page, which tested the entrant's knowledge of engineering.
The Tomorrow’s Engineers Week scheme encourages young people to consider the range of exciting engineering jobs open to them.
