Two people seriously injured in Weymouth crash

TWO people have been ‘seriously injured’ after three cars collided in Weymouth.

Police were alerted to the collision on Weymouth Way near Morrisons, at 3.25pm when a member of the public made an emergency call.

Vehicles involved included a black Fiat Panda, registered to a Weymouth woman, a blue Ford Focus, registered to a company in Uxbridge and a white Suzuki Carry registered to a Weymouth man.

A Dorset Police spokesman said: “Two people have been seriously injured.

"Four people were involved in the collision.

“The road was closed for 45 minutes while the cars were recovered.”

Firefighters from Weymouth also attended the scene after they were called by the ambulance service at 3.45pm.

Two crews were involved and cut the roof off one of the cars to rescue a female driver from one of the vehicles.
