A school in St Paul’s Cray has been given an ‘outstanding’ rating by Ofsted.
Midfield Primary School in Grovelands Road was judged outstanding in all five categories after it was visited by inspectors last month.
The report said the school was doing so well because its headteacher Gulcin Sesli provides "exceptional leadership" and works well with governors.
Midfield is the only school in the St Paul's Cray area that has ever achieved an outstanding rating.
Ms Sesli: "Achieving outstanding is testament to the whole school community. Our highly committed staff and governors work relentlessly to make sure our children receive a first-class education.
"This is combined with the excellent care we provide to meet all social and emotional health needs. We are all very proud of our inspection outcome."
Inspectors said the behaviour of pupils was ‘outstanding’ and that disadvantaged pupils were supported ‘extremely well.’
The school was judged ‘good’ in all five categories when it was last inspected in 2013.
