THE crucifixion of Christ will be re-enacted in Gravesend town centre in front of churchgoers and shoppers.
This is the fourth time the vivid scenes will be acted out in public.
The event is organised to represent Churches Together in Gravesham, a partnership of Christian denominations.
Processions of worshippers carrying crosses will leave St George's Church, Church Street; Milton Parish Church, Milton Road, and Emmanuel Baptist Church, Windmill Street.
They will meet in King Street for the cruxifixion service at 11am on Friday.
Afterwards people are invited to attend the placing of a large cross on top of Windmill Hill.
