AFTER four months of planning, an army of Christmas helpers has put the final touches to a shopping centre's winter wonderland.

The 40-strong team at Bluewater can now stand back and admire the results of its Christmas display.

The helpers have installed one million fairy lights and more than 50 reindeers in and around the centre's car parks.

Two frogmen and two cranes also fitted giant leaping salmons and four huge swans into the quarry's lakes.

From November 10 the lights will be officially turned on and the 1.75million sq ft of shopping space will be filled with the festive aromas of mulled wine and roasting chestnuts. Children can also visit Father Christmas in his grotto.
