A BODY has been found in scrubland nearly three months after the disappearance of a 62-year-old man.
West Kent Police were called to the scene near Beechenlea Lane, Swanley, by a member of the public on Sunday afternoon (May4).
Officers cordoned off the area while initial inquiries began into the circumstances of the man's death.
The body has since been removed from the area and a post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death. The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.
Police say they are linking the discovery to the disappearance of missing person, David Warren, who was last seen at the beginning of February.
Mr Warren had no fixed address and slept rough, but maintained regular contact with his family before his disappearance.
He was known to camp out in wooded areas in and around Swanley.
