AN ARMED man was foiled when he tried to rob a bookmaker.
The incident happened at just before 8am on January 31 when the manager of Coral in Station Road, Longfield, was opening the shop.
Carrying a gun and a knife, the robber told the 36-year-old manager to open the shop's safe.
Finding the safe could not be opened, he ordered the manager into the kitchen and told him to stay there before making his getaway.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to talk to in connection with the incident.
He is stocky, around 30, 5ft 11ins tall and was wearing a dark padded jacket and a baseball hat.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Cameron Riley said: "Hopefully someone will be able to put a name to this face but I would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or has information about this crime."
