Smoke alarm saves mum and son following kitchen fire
A MOTHER and son were saved by their smoke alarm in the early hours of this morning after a fire broke out in their kitchen.
Firefighters were called to their home in Devon Road, Sutton-at-Hone, at 2.30am.
The fire was contained within the kitchen, which is said to be beyond repair.
The occupiers of the house were alerted to the fire after being awoken by their smoke alarm.
