Has anyone else noticed how much conservatives try to mislead the voting public in Swanley by stating they live in Swanley but actually are in Hextable?

Parish of Swanley - White Oak Ward, Dee Morris, 79 College Road, Swanley. BR8 7LW, this person lives in the parish of HEXTABLE, not Swanley.

Parish of Swanley - Christchurch Ward, Leslie Ayres, 3 Plantation Road, Swanley. BR8 7SA, this person lives in the parish of HEXTABLE , not Swanley.

Ray Morris, 79 College Road, Swanley. this person lives in the parish of HEXTABLE, not Swanley.

Swanley Christchurch and Swanley Village Ward, Tony Searles, 9 Egerton Avenue, Swanley. BR8 7LG, this person lives in the parish of HEXTABLE and not Swanley.

I would bet that in any other area of their lives they state themselves as 'Hextable'. Open your eyes voters!!

cherished is a bit upset. The Conservatives completely turned the tables on Labour in Swanley. They said they would kick us out of Swanley Council but instead we control it for the first time.

I can remember Labour having Swanley councillors who lived in Bromley, even in Sussex.

Time is over for electioneering - we have a lot of work to do for Swanley.

I bet they won't keep thier promises to get rid of the car park charge because it raises 12,000 a year to go towards replacing play equipment, they also said that they going to fix all the potholes in Swanley now they control the Town Council and that they would not raise the Council tax next year! so where will the money come from for the replacement of Play equipment ? Labour has never had any Councillors who have lived in Bromley, Labour have had Councillors who live in Sidcup and Hextable and both those Councillors have stated so on thier nomination papers, Labour Councillors do not try to mislead the Public like the Conservatives! It is a great shame that our Town Council will now be run by People from Hextable who in 2007 did not want to be part of Swanley and now here they are in charge of the Town Council, I expect Labour will be back again in four years time and that the six Labour Councillors on the Town Council will hold the Tories to account when they start costing you more money!!

Has there been a change of attitude then by Conservatives? Are they really going to try and do the best for Swanley when the councillors in Hextable have clearly not wanted to be part of Swanley. Researching back on the Newshopper website, April 2005 under the heading WE WANT TO BE ALONE, "A maverick councillor is calling on his fellow Hextable residents to support a unilateral declaration of independence (UDI) from Swanley.

District councillor Tony Searles says it is time the village had its own voice and should cut ties with its neighbour.

He was speaking at a meeting called by the village’s residents’ association to discuss growing calls for a split.

Cllr Searles argues by falling under the control of Swanley Town Council, Hextable residents are getting a bad deal."

Of course this went on to actually happen. My point, they listed themselves as being in Swanley for the reason of elections.

These outbursts by "cherished" are destructive propaganda and no more than that.

The new Council is concerned with progress in Swanley and a new era of civic responsibility - the past is the past and the future needs to be very different with co-operation with Kent County Council and Sevenoaks District Council instead of the hostility which has marked the past.

When it is the truth I do not think it can be classed as propaganda. I suggest you look up the meaning of the word or I can help you out.
Definition of Propaganda - in its most basic sense, presents information primarily to influence an audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or uses loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented.
The facts are already there and documented, therefore the truth for anyone who cares to look.

Civitas fails here to answer the question asked and that is why the Conservatives from Hextable failed to give thier Address as Hextable and gave a Swanley address, Lots of people reading this will think it was done to mislead the electors, It is often known that you get more votes if you live in the ward or Town you want to be a Councillor in, what we want is less of this misleading and more truth in our Local politics,
