Ebbsfleet Garden City will be getting another 205 homes after plans for further construction were approved.

The plans were approved at a meeting by Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, which oversees planning in the area.

Among the 205 new homes built in the third phase of Ebbsfleet Green will be 41 affordable houses. Most of the houses will be two, three and four-bedroom homes.

The development will eventually see 950 homes brought to the area, as well as a primary school and a village car park.

Ian Piper, chief executive of the development company, said: “We welcome the latest phase for the Ebbsfleet Green site which boasts a wide variety of quality housing for all types of purchasers.

"It is a further sign of the progress that is being made in the Garden City to provide more new homes.”

David Banfield, planning director at Redrow South East, said: “It’s fantastic to have secured consent for a further 205 new homes at Ebbsfleet Green as part of our overall vision to deliver a community of up to 950 homes.

“The wide range of homes and vital community infrastructure we are providing is appealing to young professionals, families and downsizers, creating a vibrant and diverse community.

"Over 110 properties are now occupied and those who have moved in and are benefitting from everything the Garden City has to offer including excellent connections to central London and the surrounding area.”
