Commuters in Bexley and Dartford will have to grapple with a new train timetable after years of disruption to services as London Bridge was redeveloped.

The new Southeastern schedule has made several changes to its services into central London, including promising faster journey times.

The rail franchise claims the fastest service to Charing cross from Dartford will now be 38 minutes, compared with 46 minutes currently.

However, direct trains from Dartford to Cannon Street will only run at peak times, with passengers having to change via London Bridge at non-peak hours.

Services via Bexley, Crayford and Sidcup to central London will run six times every hour at non-peak times.

Southeastern has also promised more access to Thameslink services which will run via Blackfriars and St Pancras.

However, passengers have expressed concerns at the new Sunday service in south east London, with the Bexleyheath line only seeing two trains into London each hour which only go to Victoria.
