Police in Kent have appealed for witnesses after a 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman on a main road in Dartford.
The alleged assault is believed to have happened on Tuesday, April 3, between 10pm and 11pm on Orchard Street.
The woman reported she was pushed by a man who then chased her to a car park and kicked her to the floor.
She claims the man then continued to punch and kick her while she was on the floor.
Although police have already arrested a Gravesend man in connection with the assault, they are looking to speak to anyone who may have seen the attack.
In particular, they are looking to trace the man who helped the woman up and took her home after the reported assault took place.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the Kent Police appeal line on 01474 366149 and quote reference XY/19317/18
Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
The man arrested in connection with the assault has been released on bail until May 1.
