A Crayford teen beauty queen has won in a catwalk competition, and has raised more than £1,700 for charity.

Hayley Day, 15, will represented Kent at the Catwalk Perfect final where she was crowned the winner .

She said: "When my name was called out as the new Miss Teen Catwalk Perfect UK I was crying happy tears, thinking that all the hard work has paid off.

"My mum broke down in tears, she was so happy I won the title, I’ve got to thank my mum for helping my achieve this title."

Hayley has done community work, taking presents for Christmas and Easter to Darent Valley Hospital children’s ward and holding her own fashion show - and plans to hold another next year.

She has raised £1,700 for charities including Battersea Dogs Home and The Brain Tumour Charity.

Hayley said: "On my journey with catwalk Perfect UK I’ve raised £500 for the brain tumour charity plus £120 for Battersea Dogs and Cats home plus £199 attending charity events - in total I’ve raised about £1700 for charities.

"When I’m older I want to help volunteers at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. I’m hoping to start college next year and do make up and beauty."
