A man had an irritating 'substance' squirted in his face before having his hat stolen by moped thieves in Northfleet.
Kent Police are investigating a robbery which took place between 7pm and 7.20pm yesterday (Monday November 27).
Two thieves rode up to a man walking along Hall Road and sprayed a "liquid" in his face.
They then stole his hat.
A spokeswoman confirmed to News Shopper that this incident is not being related to any other 'acid attacks'.
She said: "The liquid was not believed to be acidic or noxious however it caused irritation to the victim who was taken to hospital as a precaution."
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
No arrests have been made.
