The country will fall silent on Sunday as we mark Remembrance Day.

Services are taking place across Dartford and Bexley for residents to pay their respects to those who have fought and died for their country.

In Dartford, the annual Service of Remembrance will take place at the War Memorial in Central Park.

It will begin at 10.40am and following the end of the service there will be a march past by veterans, uniformed and youth organisations from the High Street and along Market Street past the War Memorial. The road will be closed to traffic.

Bexleyheath will host its traditional service at the War Memorial from 10.45am.

A parade will march from the Civic Centre to the Memorial on Oakland road before a two minutes silence at 11am.

There will also be services at St Paulinus Church in Crayford and Christ Church in Erith from 10am.

Other services will be held at Christ Church in Sidcup from 10.30am and at St Michael's in Welling from 10am.

There will be a service a Thamesmead War Memorial today, Friday November 10, from 2.40pm, organised by Thamesmead and Abbey Wood Royal British Legion.
