Christmas is set to begin at Bluewater next week as a season of festivities kick-off with the switching on of the lights.

The Big Switch On on Thursday (November 9) will reveal brand new decorations and Christmas lights inside the mall.

The spectacular covered Ice Rink returns along with magical Santa’s Grotto, The Giving Tree, and brand new GraVity trampoline park.

As well as The Big Switch On, Bluewater has a line up of spectacular events with great shopping and free parking all day everyday from November 24.

The Big Switch on is November 9 from 5pm-8pm

The Big Switch event is free to all

Is there a theme?

The theme is 12 days of Christmas and there will be 12 different acts to celebrate this.

Who will switch the lights on?

Heart Radio’s breakfast presenters James and Becky will be switching on the lights. It is rumoured that Santa himself will be making a visit.

Where will this take place?

The lights will be switched on in the Moon Court outside M&S at Bluewater.

When does Bluewater’s Ice rink open?

The ice rink will be open November 16 to January 7. Skating at Bluewater is fun for all, with seal shaped skating aids for kids and bob skates for those a little unsteady on the ice.

What about Santa’s Grotto?

Santa’s Grotto will also open on November 16 to December 24. The children will be magically transformed into elves and help Mr Crumb make a gingerbread man.

What else is happening?

From November 9 to December 22 guests can head to the giant tree and donate a gift to help a local disadvantaged child.
