A 49-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash on the M20 this morning.
Kent Police was called at around 6am on Friday October 6 when it was reported that a lorry and motorcycle had collided on the coast bound carriageway.
The crash was close to junction 2 and the motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man from near Folkestone, died at the scene.
Sergeant Hannah Brown said: "We would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a black motorcycle or a lorry carrying a blue trailer in the moments leading up to it. If you have any information which may assist our enquiries please don’t hesitate to get in touch."
Witnesses should call 01622 798538, quoting reference AH/DM/220/17.
Police closed the road in that direction between Junction 3 of the M25/ A20 (Swanley Interchange) and Junction 3 of the M26.
The incident also affected travel on the M25 clockwise, with delays streching back over the Dartford Crossing.
A second incident involving two further vehicles happened at the same location shortly after the collision involving the motorcyclist and the lorry.
This involved two vehicles and led to three people being taken to hospital. None of the injuries were life threatening.

The road has been reopened by Highways England and there are no delays in the area.
The road has since reopened.
