Flood warnings have been issued and the Woolwich Ferry has had to be closed due to a high tide on the Thames.
The Environment Agency issued the flood warnings for Dartford and Crayford and said it expected water levels to be almost a metre higher than usual and overtop coastal defences.
UPDATE: Latest flood warnings in south-east London and north Kent
Woolwich Ferry had to shut due to the high tide as the ships were too high over the loading ramps for anyone to get on board.
Bianca Zamborlini, from Woolwich, took a video of the Thames lapping over the cycle path near her home.
She said: “The ferry is not working anymore. The police were here three minutes ago trying to evacuate the parking lot because the cars were in danger.
“The cycle pathway is all gone, as is the bridge, you can’t even see it.”
