A large group of travellers pitched up in a car park in Dartford town centre.
About 20 caravans parked in the fenced-off car park in Hythe Street, opposite Air & Breathe.
The car park is part of the former Co-Op site which is now managed by Dartford Council - with news on a developer for the vacant building expected soon.
Police served an eviction notice to the group.
A spokesman for Kent Police said the group had until 3.30pm today, October 4, to leave the site.
At 5.15pm a witness who works nearby said the camp had mostly left the car park.
She said: "There are three still here I think. Most of them have left, but it looks like three are still there.
"They are not in the area anymore, they are out in the road.
"There were a lot of them but most have gone now I think."
