A woman surprised shoppers in Bluewater yesterday afternoon as she appeared to be naked in a store-front window.

Police were called to the scene as the woman appeared to stand in the window of Dorothy Perkins near some mannequins.

Despite being widely-reported as a ‘protest’, a spokesman for Kent Police confirmed this incident was not the case.

The spokesman said: “Kent Police received concerns for the welfare of a woman at shopping centre in Greenhithe at around 3pm on Thursday, July 6.

“Officers attended and assisted the woman who has since been passed into the care of medical professionals.”

In pictures that surfaced on social media, the woman appeared to be led away by officers as she wore a long blonde wig.
