Two men have been arrested after a teenager was apparently repeatedly hit with a metal bar before being robbed in Swanley.

An 18-year-old man was walking along the road when he saw three men in a blue Peugeot 206.

Kent Police said two of the men approached him and asked the victim why he was there before reportedly hitting him across the legs with a metal bar. They stole a gold iPhone 6s and a gold ring.

The robbery reportedly took place in between 2.10am and 2.30am on Monday (May 22) in Sycamore Drive.

The suspects are believed to have got back in the vehicle and driven in the opposite direction of Asda.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “A passing police patrol saw the victim and subsequently searched for the vehicle which was found a short time later in Heath Close, Swanley. A 25-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of robbery.

“A second man, aged 21, has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery. Both men remain in custody at this time.”

The third suspect is described as being white with blonde hair and wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
