A fundraising appeal to pay for the funeral of a man who was killed in a car crash in Swanley has raised more than £1,700 in less than a day.

Adam Draper, 29, was hit by a car in Maidstone Road, near the junction with Hockenden Lane at 10.05pm on Saturday, January 21.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family and friends launched the GoFundMe appeal yesterday to give Mr Draper, a father of one with a baby on the way, the "best send off possible".

"Please help with funeral costs to give Adam the best send off possible."
