Commuters travelling across the Dartford Crossing this week should plan their journeys ahead of time due to partial motorway closures.

Ongoing maintenance in the Crossing will continue tonight from 8.30pm to 5.30am in the northbound west tunnel through to Sunday, January 15, except for Saturday, where workers will be in the tunnel from 9pm to 5.30am.

The northbound entry slip road at junction 1a will also be closed for seven consecutive nights from 8.30pm to 5pm.

A signed diversion will be in place via the A282 southbound to junction 1b and return.

The QEII Bridge will have three of four lanes closed overnight between 10pm and 5.30am from tonight for five nights.

Work on Friday will start at 11pm.

Elsewhere, work to maintain safety on the A2 in Dartford Heath will continue tonight between 10pm and 5am, closing the eastbound exit slip road.

A signed diversion will be in place to M25 junction 2 roundabout and return.

The westbound entry slip road will also be closed overnight tomorrow, Tuesday, January 10, from 10pm to 5am, with signed diversions in place via the A2 eastbound to the M25 junction 2 roundabout and return.
