A lorry has crashed into a barrier off the M25 at Dartford, spilling diesal across the road.
The head-on smash happened on the slip road off the M25 onto the A2 just outside Dartford.
The accident has resulted in stationary traffic on the M25 clockwise and congestion up to the Dartford Tunnel as police are at the scene and have stopped all traffic.
The crash resulted in the rupture of a fuel tank leaving a large amount of diesel on the carriageway which now requires resurfacing.
It is expected that the closed lanes will only reopen after the peak traffic period this evening.
Justin Scrutton, who witnessed the crash, said: “He couldn’t make his mind up at the roads diverging and crashed straight into the barrier in the middle of the slip road.”
The police have reported that no serious injuries have occured.
