A Dartford woman has been sentenced for trying to flog two fake Slipknot tickets.

Nikki Waterman, 25, of Phoenix Place, copied the tickets and then resold them over the 2014 Christmas holidays.

She then tried to blag a refund for the real tickets by claiming they were copies.

The fraudster was hoping to pocket a sum of £260.

Waterman also tried to flog a festival ticket in June this year but the online buyer never received it or their money back.

It was heard the criminal hoped to keep the £140 from the sale.

Waterman pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud by false representation and was sentenced on November 8 at Medway Magistrates’ Court.

She was handed jail time of eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months.

She must also pay £800 compensation, £85 costs and an an £85 victim surcharge.
