Mr Jackson suffered injuries to his head, neck, chest, arm and leg and was taken to Kings College Hospital by road – and died two weeks later.

The barrier is repaired

Three other people suffered minor injuries and were also rushed to hospital.

One of the cars hit a barrier with such force that a lane on the M25 was closed for a week.

Sertvytis, 45, pleaded not guilty to causing death by careless driving at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday.

The Lithuanian man has been bailed until April 18 next year.
