A family friend of a 20-year-old woman who was attacked in Bexleyheath has said she is scared for her daughter’s safety.

Chloe Helson, from Dartford, was partying at Pure Bar in Broadway when she decided to leave in the early hours of Saturday morning to get a taxi home.

She was approached by two “intoxicated” men who hurled insults at her and burned her face with two cigarette butts.

And Sally Cudmore, who has known Ms Helson’s family for the past few years, has spoken out about the attack.

The psychic told News Shopper: “The family are former clients of mine and the girl’s sister Sophie is my hairdresser. It’s just absolutely awful – they’re a close-knit family who are still in shock.

“She’s such an innocent girl so for that kind of attack to happen to her, it’s traumatising and devastating for everyone involved.”

Ms Cudmore does not want her 18-year-old daughter Sophia going near the Broadway area following the sickening attack.

The 45-year-old added: “My daughter hangs around that area with her friends but I’m now reluctant for her to go there.

“She doesn’t even want to go there anymore because it’s so scary when you hear about these events.”

The Eltham resident wants Ms Helson’s attackers caught sooner rather than later.

“The two men who attacked her were wearing hoodies. They’re just wannabe gangsters,” Ms Cudmore said.

“I hope both of them are caught so it prevents further attacks happening to other young girls in the area.”

Kent Police spokesman said: “A report of an assault has been made in an area around the border of Bexleyheath and Dartford between the times of 12.50am and 3am. Enquiries are ongoing.”
