A woman was cut free from her van after it flipped over near the Dartford Crossing.

She was rescued after she crashed with a car and the safety barrier at around 6.45pm on Friday (September 9).

Three fire crews spent nearly an hour and a half cutting the woman free.

Two other passengers and the driver of the other vehicle had all been freed before crews arrived on the scene.

The A282 was closed northbound and drivers were stuck dead in their tracks for more than two hours as traffic on the M25 jammed.

The road had completely reopened by 11pm.
