Cypriot police have released images of two men wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Dartford holidaymaker George Low in Ayia Napa.

The arrest warrants are for two Turkish Cypriot men, Mehmet Akpinor, also known as Memos, 22, and Sali Ahmet, 43, who are believed to have fled to the north of the country.

A third man is also being hunted for helping the pair escape after the murder.

Furthermore, a woman has been arrested following the attack on Sunday.

The 49-year-old, from Larnaca in Cyprus, is in court today on suspicion of helping Mr Akpinor and Mr Ahmet flea.

Mr Low died after he and his friend were attacked in the popular resort in the early hours of Sunday morning.

George Low was fatally stabbed on Sunday morning.

He was stabbed in the neck and his friend, Ben Barker, also 22, suffered four stab wounds to his back in the attack. His injuries are not life-threatening.

A Cyprus policeman told The Associated Press that the Greek Cypriot woman was placed under arrest after being questioned by investigators.

Mr Low's mother, Helen, 47, said the pair had been due to fly back home on Sunday.

Her son had spent two previous seasons in the resort as a club rep and manager, and was last there in June celebrating his birthday.

She said her son's death had devastated her, her husband, postman Martyn, 55, and their children Wesley, Laura, Oliver and Millie.

Mrs Low, a community carer, said: "We're just heartbroken. We cannot believe something like this could happen to our son."
