A short chase took place and two men left the vehicle in Hart Dyke Road, Swanley
A police chase ended in Swanley as a man was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
Officers saw a car in Chipperfield Road, Orpington, at about 2.05pm yesterday (July 21) that was believed to have been involved in a theft offence minutes earlier.
A hedge trimmer had been stolen from the back of a car in Main Road, St Mary Cray.
A short chase took place and two men left the vehicle in Hart Dyke Road.
A 33-year-old man was arrested, at a nearby property, on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle – he remains in custody at a south London police station.
Enquiries to locate the second person continue.
