An allegedly stolen safe has been returned to a temple in Gravesend.

It was reportedly taken during a burglary at the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara between midnight and 2am last Friday (June 24).

The safe was discovered in a vehicle by police and returned to the building in Saddington Street today.

Eleazar Allert, 26, from Walthamstow, appeared via videolink, at Medway Magistrates' Court last Saturday charged with burglary.
