Around 200 tonnes of wood was alight in Swanley this morning (May 31), and took firefighters an hour and a half to extinguish the blaze.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) sent crews in two engines to tackle the blaze near Button Street, which involved logs and wood chip shavings, at 6.45am.
Crews used an on-site digger and a cold-cut firefighting system, which uses a super-high-pressure water nozzle, to cut through the the "deep seated" blaze in the woods.
KFRS were on the scene until 9.25am.
