Two men are on the run as after a reported robbery at a shop in Dartford – the second in two days.

Staff member Kandasamy Sivanthan, 46, was on the till at K & R Convenience Store in Watling Street on Wednesday afternoon when an armed man burst into his store, stealing cash.

About £300 in cash was robbed before the suspect fled on foot with another man who was waiting outside.

A helicopter was drafted in by armed police to track down the suspect who is still in hiding.

The man is described as a white, aged 18 to 25 years old, around 5ft 8 inches and of medium build.

It is reported that he was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood pulled up and dark coloured trousers with bright white trainers.

Speaking at the time of the suspected armed robbery a Kent Police spokeswoman said: “Kent Police officers, including armed officers, are currently in Watling Street following reports of an armed robbery at a business.

“A quantity of cash is reported to have been taken and the suspect then left the shop on foot and was reportedly seen running away with another man who was waiting outside.”
