A man in his 60s was taken to hospital with head injuries yesterday (February 8), after collapsing outside Waitrose in Longfield.

South East Coast Ambulance Service sent the air ambulance, two paramedic cars and a road ambulance to the supermarket in Station Road, at 3.50pm.

It is unclear whether the head injury caused the man to collapse, or if he became injured in the fall.

According to an air ambulance report, the patient was also suffering from chest injuries and crews were with him for half an hour.
