The closure of the QE2 Bridge at the Dartford Crossing resulted in a huge backlog of traffic for commuters.
The bridge was shut from 10.30am onwards yesterday (February 8) due to strong winds from Storm Imogen.
This impacted heavily on motorists as they were stuck waiting in queues for about seven hours last night on the M25 anticlockwise.
All lanes have now been reopened at the tunnel.
#StormImogen - #M25 #DartfordBridge, wind speeds have reduced and we've been able to safely re-open the bridge. Congestion starting to ease.

@HighwaysSEAST the management of this has been a joke! Why was the slip road into the m25 from lakeside closed? 7 hours I've been in traffic
