UPDATE: The road remains closed this morning (November 24). Latest here.
Flooding in Dartford has caused chaos for drivers - after a water main burst this afternoon (November 23).
Daring drivers attempted to plunge ahead through the deep water in Temple Hill, before Kent's highways agency closed the road at 3.50pm.
Thames Water is now warning that this could affect water supplies to some homes and businesses in the area - and added repairs should be underway "shortly", just before 5pm.
Apologies to customers in the DA1. There is a large burst on Mill Pound Road that may affect water supply. Repairs will start shortly - Alan

This came after Kent County Council Highways, who closed the road, confirmed a Thames Water technician had been notified - and was en route to try and fix the problem.
It affects Temple Hill at the junction with Overy Street, Mill Pond Road and Central Road, just minutes from the station.
Signposted diversions are in place via Littlebrook Manor Way, St Vincents Road, The Brent, East Hill, Home Gardens, Hythe Street and Mill Pond Road.
