A man has been found not guilty of manslaughter after a Bean woman died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Linda Frost, of Stonewood, died at Medway Maritime Hospital on April 15 last year, aged 62, after holidaying at her chalet in Coronation Drive, Leysdown.

Her neighbour at the site Terry Blackwell, 65, had fitted the bathroom boiler, purchased from eBay, on Saturday, April 12.

Blackwell, was cleared of manslaughter following a trial at Maidstone Crown Court.

However he was found guilty of two counts of contravening health and safety regulations.

Blackwell previously pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of negligence involving fitting a boiler for Mrs Frost when he was unqualified to do so.

He will be sentenced at the same court on Friday (October 16).
