The weather continues to cool but the weekend should bring some dry, sunny spells.

As we move into winter after enjoying the Indian Summer, the capital can expect lower temperatures but still fair weather.

Today (October 8) will be mainly dry with some sunny spells, despite a crisp start to the morning.

Tonight will see largely clear skies after the possibility of clouds and light rain during the day, although we may begin to see some mist and fog.

Tomorrow (October 9) may have a misty start but should be a dry day. 

But the clouds may creep back to give a mix of sunny and rainy spells.

The weekend will see a noticeable chilly breeze develop, picking up on Sunday and Monday.

The temperature will steadily drop, from 15 degrees on Saturday to 13 degrees on Sunday and Monday.
