There were train delays through Dartford this morning (October 4), after a driver crashed into a nearby railway bridge.

The 11am smash affected trains between Gillingham and London Charing Cross - calling at Dartford, Greenhithe for Bluewater, Gravesend and Higham.

A Southeastern spokesman said the delays were only "minor", and caused by a vehicle striking a bridge.

Trains had to be cautioned through Dartford  as a result.

Southeastern apologised for delays to passengers' journeys.

On Thursday, some trains were cancelled after a lorry crashed into a railway bridge in Shortlands, Bromley borough.
