A trio of dog lovers experienced life through the eyes of their favourite animal when they lived like a canine for 24 hours to raise money for charity.
Jade Ainsworth, from Greenhithe, and Maria and Natalie Smith, from Bexleyheath, undertook the fundraiser in aid of Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre in Jail Lane, Biggin Hill.
On Friday night the 22-year-olds climbed into their separate kennels with only a four-legged friend for companion.
Maria Smith, 22, shared the kennel with rescue pup Joy.
As vegetarians who are passionate about animal rescue, Miss Ainsworth said they volunteer at the centre every weekend to walk the dogs.
She told News Shopper: "We thought it would be quite a good challenge to experience what it's like (living in kennels) and be a good way to raise some money."
Over the course of the 24 hours the three friends allowed themselves to eat just £1.20 worth of food - the equivalent of two cans of dog food.

They have already raised £900 for the registered charity, which rescues all sorts of abandoned animals on its 26 acre farm.
Miss Ainsworth hopes their sponsorship will contribute to a major rebuild of the kennels.
