Half term fun was had when Swanley kids met six beautiful owls.

Some 25 children came to White Oak Leisure Centre between 10.30am and 12.30pm on May 26 to meet Eddie, Saffy, Mouse, Blueberry, Oz and Abbott from Hartley Owls.

They learnt about the different species of owls in the parliament or group, which included a snowy owl, tawny owl, African eagle owl, barn owl, boobook and a European eagle owl - one of the largest species of owl in the world.

A White Oak spokesman said: "The whole event went really well and the kids all seemed to find it both informative and fun."
