A Dartford pensioner was treated for smoke inhalation after he fell asleep while cooking.
Kent Fire and Rescue was called to the house in Keyes Road, Dartford, around 1am Sunday morning (May 3).
The man, thought to be in his mid-70s, fell asleep after leaving a pan on the gas hob.

The flat needed to be ventilated after it was heavily smoke logged.
The man was given oxygen by fire fighters and treated for smoke inhalation by an ambulance at the scene.
He did not require hospitalisation.
Two engines from Dartford attended the incident, which was over by 2am.
