A 34-year-old Swanscombe man has been charged after carrying an imitation firearm in Dartford.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers arrested a man after responding to a report that someone was in possession of what was described as a handgun in Dartford on April 22."
Grant Openshaw, aged 34, of Manor Road, Swanscombe, was charged the next day with possessing an imitation firearm in public, using a vehicle without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He has been bailed to attend Dartford Magistrates’ Court on 7 May.
