Tributes have continued to pour in for Orpington man Alan Bramson, who died in a crash on the A20 in Farningham last Friday (April 10).

Mr Bramson was riding a multi-coloured BMW motorcycle on the A20 Main Road, at the junction with London Road, when it was involved in a collision with a silver Citroen Picasso shortly after 11.30am.

Police and ambulance crews attended but the 52-year-old sadly died at the scene.

Friend Andrew Field, 34, knew Mr Bramson for 16 years.

He told News Shopper: "Al was one of the nice guys.

"There's not many people in this world that you feel you can trust from the minute you meet them but Al was one of those types of guys.

"He never had a bad word to say about anyone, nor did anyone about him.

"He was well respected by all of his friends and will be missed more than he would ever have expected.

"I was one of the lucky ones to have had Al in my life and he has left a dent in my mind for the rest of my time on this planet."

Rob Palmer, 37, is part of the close knit motorcycling community of which Mr Bramson was also a member.

He said: "Al was truly a one off. The nicest guy you could ever hope to meet.

"We could go months without speaking and he'd act like it was just yesterday, always smiling.

"He'll be sadly missed."

Fellow biker Lee Parkinson added: "Al was a true biker, I don't think I ever saw him without his leathers on.

"He always had time for you and liked a laugh and a joke.

"It still doesn't feel real that he's gone."

Amy Parkinson, 15, knew him through her father.

She said: "Al was truly such a special guy.

"Riding without him won't be the same, enjoying a coffee and bacon roll and catching up about bikes every boxing day was an excellent way to spend a cold winters day."

54-year-old Sue Mulryan was a friend of Mr Bramson for many years.

She works at the Saxon Day Centre in Orpington, where his mother is a member, but knew him before that through riding motorbikes.

She said: "He was always a gent and would help anyone.

"He will be greatly missed by all."

Officers from Kent Police are urging any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen either of the vehicles leading up to it, to come forward.
