Bluewater's exhibition centre, Glow, is set to be axed after just three years.
Glow, an events venue at the Greenhithe shopping centre, has hosted boxing matches screened on Channel 5 featuring Olympic gold medallist James DeGale and gigs by The Saturdays and Atomic Kitten.
But the venue will close after it did not meet "high expectations," Bluewater bosses say.
The shopping centre is in talks with a number of brands interested in taking over the space left by Glow.
A spokesman for Bluewater said: "We continually review every aspect of Bluewater to ensure it delivers a unique guest experience and achieves commercial success that is second-to-none.
"Whilst welcoming more than two million people in three years, Glow did not meet these high expectations.
"Detailed discussions are underway with a number of leading brands and exciting concepts to create an offer within the space that adds significantly to Bluewater’s unique day-out experience."
