A man has been cut from his car after it hit the central reservation barrier on the M25 near Swanley.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the crash between a car and a van at 12.36am today (March 5).

The collision occurred between junction three at Swanley and junction four at Orpington.

A man, in his 40 years old, suffered hand and back injuries.

He was stabilised by paramedics, before crews cut the roof off his car using hydraulic rescue equipment.

He was taken to Princess Royal Hospital in Farnborough.
