A charity shop dedicated to the memory of a Dartford man is celebrating its first anniversary next month.

The Mental Health Activity Trust (MHAT) opened its doors in March last year and was created in tribute to former Bluewater worker Mark Katnoria.

The 34-year-old tragically died two years ago in Cotton Lake in Crossways Business Park, Dartford, but his psychologist and friend Toni Hale set up an organisation to help other people in difficult circumstances.

She told News Shopper: "We have evolved becoming a drop in centre for those wishing to discuss or get help with mental help problems.

"There are lots of fundraising going on this year by people who want to help and support us and keep the legacy of Mark Katnoria living on."
