A Hextable man is appealing for information after finding a vintage camera film in a Crayford charity shop.

Photography buff Tim Allen, of Lower Road, was hunting out old cameras in the EllernorLions charity shop in Crayford Road when he came across an added bonus.

The 43-year-old said: "I collect old cameras and I just happened to be in that charity shop when they had some.

"One had an old film in the box and I was more intrigued by the film that the camera."

The camera, an Agilux Colt 44, was manufactured between 1961 and 1965.

Mr Allen sent the film to be developed only to receive a disc containing four pictures of a three elderly women on a day out.

He then embarked on a mission to hunt down information about the pictures by posting them on his blog and on social media.

The amateur photographer said: "It is a complete lottery with a film that old - sometimes it can come out completely black due to over exposure.

"I put the photos online and within about 15 minutes I had emails and Facebook messages telling me they were taken at Warwick Castle.

"Were they three ladies from Crayford who went to Warwick for a day out? It would be great to find just one person who knows something about them.

"I assumed it would have been a local person who took the film in to the charity shop."
